Paul Byrne CEO - Currency Fair
Prior to CurrencyFair, he founded Cadency in 2011, a highly profitable SaaS workflow and finance automation business scaling revenue to an ARR on exit of US$60 Million in October 2015, whilst increasing headcount to 250 people to serve Cadency’s 2,000 global customers at exit. The business was acquired by Vista Equity Partners, a leading US PE Growth firm.
Prior to Cadency, he was President & CEO of Concuity, a business he founded in 2008 to provide SaaS-based healthcare Revenue Cycle Management services to large-scale US healthcare providers. Led growth in SaaS revenue to approximately US$10 million over 18-month period and sold the business for US$35 million to the market leading RCM provider.
He was also CEO of ReconNET (Trintech’s main operating business), a US business providing large retailers with software driven reconciliation and data services. Grew revenue by over 3X to $30 million, and EBITDA margins to 35% over a 4-year period from 2006 to 2010.
He started his Trintech career as Chief Financial Officer and took company public in 1999 via an IPO on NASDAQ and the German Stock Exchange.
Originally, he qualified as a chartered accountant with PWC, where he worked in Dublin, London, Brussels and New York.
Additionally, he is the sole equity partner and founder of "Accelerate Success", a boutique consultancy founded in 2015 to provide investment and mentorship to a small number of curated high-growth ambitious software companies seeking to be relevant globally. His approach to “Accelerating Success” is based on a playbook, designed and refined over a 20-year career delivering consistent high revenue growth and profitability with shareholder returns significantly greater than market norms.
